Watch out for the “taillight warranty”

You’ve probably heard of the taillight warranty—or something like it. It’s offered by companies who talk a good game, but after they’ve dropped off their product, their support lasts only as long as it takes for the truck’s taillights to disappear out of sight.

There’s no place for that at Conservis. We stick by our products and our promises.

We understand that technology takes time to be configured to your operation. It takes time for people to get comfortable with how to use it, and how to get the most out of it. There are always tweaks, questions and adjustments to be made. Good service doesn’t go rushing off your property.

At Conservis, we’re guided by something called The Conservis Truth. It’s a simple belief: A technology is only as good as the people standing behind it. That’s just common sense. And it’s common decency. People who pay good money for technology deserve nothing less.

Fact is, we like the farmers we work with. We respect what they do. And they respect what we do. A bond forms. We could tell story after story of our employees becoming like adopted family.

“Have supper with us,” farmers will insist as we’re getting their technology set up. “You’re away from family. You should have something home-cooked.”

We get to know the farm and people we work with year after year. There are regular check-ins plus face-to-face visits to update technology every season because your operation changes every season. That’s when we hear things like:

“You’re not staying in some hotel. We have room for you here.”

We feel fortunate to be in this business. Our years have taught us that farm technology is different than other technology. It’s more rewarding. It’s personal.

Which gets us back to the taillights. With Conservis, when we leave your place, there’s often a “Thanks a lot. See ya soon.” As we drive away, there will be a wave out the truck window. And, oftentimes, a bag of cookies or brownies on the seat next to us, just to make sure no one goes hungry down the road.
